MCCA collaborates with organizations with aligning interests on local, state and national levels to help affect policy. Below is a listing of some of the groups MCCA works with.

State

Child Care Aware of MN

Child Care Aware of Minnesota helps families find child care and understand their care options, supports child care providers through grants and education, and informs the community on the importance of child care.  Formally Minnesota Child Care Resources and Referral.

MinneMinds

MinneMinds is a statewide campaign to increase public funding for access to high quality early care and education programs proven to prepare our children for success in school and in life.

Minnesota’s Future Allies

Minnesota's Future was developed by an alliance of early childhood organizations that promotes policy changes to reform early care and education programs, realignpublic resources to meet quality standards and provide needed resourcesto build quality and increase access to high quality early learning experiences.

MnAEYC- MnSACA

The Minnesota Association for the Education of Young Children (MnAEYC) and the Minnesota School-Age Care Alliance (MnSACA) are professional associations with members from organizations that represent  a diverse group of professionals representing early care and education and school age and youth programs across Minnesota. MnAEYC-MnSACA promotes quality in early care and education and out-of-school time programs and supports the leadership and development of early care and education and out-of-school time professionals.

Think Small

Think Small, Leaders in Early Learning, provides services, resources, and advocacy for early childhood education in Minnesota. Formally Resources for Child Caring.

Federal

Early Care and Education Consortium

The Early Care and Education Consortium is a non-profit alliance of America's leading providers of quality early learning programs. Consortium members operate more than 8,200 licensed centers in every state, caring for and educating over one million children every day across the country. The Early Care and Education Consortium is an advocacy voice for child care providers as policies for child care and early learning develop and change across the country.

CLASP

CLASP develops and advocates for federal, state and local policies to strengthen families and create pathways to education and work.

NAEYC

NAEYC’s public policy work at the federal, state and local levels reflects the Association’s position statementsstandards for programsstandards for teacher preparation programs, and other resources as well as research and evidence from the field. Our issue-driven advocacy is conducted directly with policymakers and through technical assistance, materials and other support to our affiliates and others working on shared public policy goals and efforts.  

National Women’s Law Center

The National Women’s Law Center has worked to expand the possibilities for women and girls in this country since 1972. Today, an experienced staff of nearly 60 continues to advance the issues that cut to the core of women's lives in education, employment, family and economic security—with special attention given to the needs of low-income women and their families.
